Grant Agreement No. 101299590 enters into force

ShieldHealthAdria formally starts under the Digital Europe Programme's CyberHEALTH action, supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.

On 1 June 2026, Grant Agreement No. 101299590 entered into force, marking the formal start of ShieldHealthAdria under the call DIGITAL-ECCC-2025-DEPLOY-CYBER-08-CYBERHEALTH — the Digital Europe Programme's dedicated action to reinforcing hospitals and healthcare providers. The project is supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).

The agreement sets the frame for 24 months of work by 13 consortium partners across Slovenia and Croatia: two EU-based cybersecurity providers, 11 public hospitals and the governance structures that hold them together.

What happens first

The opening months focus on foundations. Work Package 1, led by coordinator Telekom Slovenije, establishes project governance, the quality-assurance and risk-management framework, and the KPI monitoring structure that will track progress across all activities. A Project Handbook — including the risk and data-management plan — is the first major deliverable.

In parallel, Work Package 2, led by Combis, prepares the baseline cybersecurity assessments of the 11 pilot hospitals: maturity assessment, stakeholder needs analysis and NIS2/GDPR control mapping that will shape everything the project deploys later.
