Healthcare organisations face a growing number of cybersecurity challenges as they increasingly depend on digital technologies, interconnected systems and electronic health records. Cyber incidents can affect not only IT infrastructure but also the availability of healthcare services and access to critical patient information.
To address these challenges, the ShieldHealthAdria project organised a webinar on 28 July 2026, focusing on practical approaches to improving cybersecurity and resilience in healthcare environments.
What the webinar covered
The webinar explored key measures that healthcare institutions can take to strengthen their cybersecurity posture, including gaining better visibility into exposed systems and vulnerabilities, improving the detection of suspicious activities, reducing the risk of service disruptions, and enhancing preparedness for cyber incidents. Participants also learned how specialised cybersecurity support can help organisations manage risks more effectively while alleviating the burden on internal IT teams.
A central part of the session was dedicated to the ShieldHealthAdria project and its mission to strengthen cybersecurity capacities across the healthcare sector in Slovenia and Croatia. Through cross-border cooperation, the project brings together partners from both countries to develop solutions, share expertise and support healthcare organisations in building greater resilience against cyber threats.
By promoting knowledge exchange, raising awareness and supporting the adoption of cybersecurity best practices, ShieldHealthAdria contributes to a safer and more resilient digital healthcare ecosystem in the Adriatic region.
