Technology alone does not make a hospital resilient — people do. From late 2026, Work Package 5, led by Combis, designs the training and awareness programme that will reach more than 1,000 healthcare professionals across the 11 pilot hospitals.
Role-based by design
The curricula are shaped separately for the three groups that keep a hospital running: IT and security staff, who need depth on detection, response and the tooling deployed by the project; clinical staff, who need security that fits into care workflows rather than interrupting them; and administrative staff, who handle the data and communications most often targeted by phishing.
How it will be delivered
Delivery combines e-learning modules, incident-response simulations and tabletop exercises, and hospital-wide awareness campaigns. A train-the-trainer model builds lasting internal capacity, so the knowledge stays in the hospitals after the project ends — and feeds the replication toolkit for healthcare providers across the EU.
